About Bob Tench, Self-Care Classes, Presentations

Bob Tench is a practitioner of the Zentherapy and PUSH systems of bodytherapy and a member of the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP). He was trained in Zentherapy in 1993 by William "Dub" Leigh, the director and founder of the International Zentherapy Institute. He also received his certification in the PUSH method of bodytherapy from its developer, Michael Takatsuno.

One of Bob's missions in life is to empower his clients to live full, healthy, pain-free lives through the application of his treatments, the promotion of increased self-awareness, and by educating his clients on soft-tissue function and healthy lifestyles. He also teaches his clients simple techniques and exercises to help them maintain their healthy physical condition.

Bob has created a fun, "hands-on" workshop based on the Zentherapy and PUSH methods that is designed for adults of all ages. In addition to the workshops, he delivers presentations on muscular self-care principles and techniques for local colleges and organizations, and holds demonstrations of his work at fairs and festivals throughout the Denver area. See below.

With a life-long interest in physical fitness and personal growth, Bob brings a wealth of experience to his practice. He has studied and designed various exercise/training programs, practiced yoga for many years, and holds a black-belt in karate. He was a graduate student in counseling studies at San Francisco State University, studied Life Coach training through the Coaches Training Institute, and has studied hypnotherapy, energy work, and various other healing modalities.

Muscular Self-Care Presentations

These presentations are based on the popular Self-Care classes. Like the classes, they are informative and entertaining, except that the hands-on activities are either minimized or taken out. The audience will walk away with the basic knowledge and techniques necessary to relieve their muscular aches and pains. This talk has been well received by many professional, academic, service, and athletic organizations where physical well-being is a must. The talk can be adapted to fit a 30-60 minute time slot. Please call Bob directly at 720-855-0769, or by email at bob@tenchtherapies.com.

Comments from some organizations:

"I would like to personally thank you for your self-care presentation at CCD Dental Hygiene School and I look forward to having you back in the near future. Many of the students commented that you were both knowledgeable and entertaining. Students felt that you presented information that was very pertinent to their future profession and would be very helpful to them.

We especially liked the exercises and interactive nature of the presentation. The self-help massage tool that you demonstrated was a big hit with the students. Your message to the students of treating their bodies as the most important tool they have supports what we've been telling them all along. Overall, I believe it was of benefit to many and we truly enjoyed having you talk to our students."

Michelle L. Hoffer, RDH, BS
Community College of Denver

"Bob, the residents are still buzzing about your presentation. They thoroughly enjoyed the helpful information that was presented and are looking forward to using the tools you provided them."

Melissa J. Clifford
Assistant Community Center Manager
The Heather Gardens Association

"Your presentation was great! You worked an initially reluctant crowd to the point that they ACTUALLY ENJOYED BEING THERE! Thanks for stressing the importance of proper muscle use and showing our instructors and students how to practice your techniques on themselves...We would appreciate the opportunity to continue to use you as a resource for our students and Denver Academy of Court Reporting. Thanks again!"
